KW V3 coil overs

2016 Ford Mustang fast back 5.0 V8
Any one fitted KW V3 coilovers. When my supercharger is fitted next week looking for the best setting ie clicks to make the car more planted on the road. Currently have stock dampers and steeda springs but still feels disconnected to the road. Had an S4 previously and found the steering more controllable. Might have been the Quattro system to be fair.

I am on KW Clubsports, very happy, V3 should be as good, touch softer due to lower spring rate but maybe damping not as good as the Clubsport uses more expensive dampers.

Make sure you also get Steeda billet rear shock mounts, they make a real nice difference to the ride.

You should start at the recommended settings. Then if you want it softer try 1 click of compression at a time softer.

Compression is 6/6 default and I am at 8/7 and using stock rebound of 8/9 or 9/10 for colder months.

Are these a "true" coilover on the rear, rather than Eibach setup with coilovers on the front and adjustment collars on the the standard rear spring location?
I'm beginning to think I was a bit hasty buying my eibachs, maybe should have splashed out a bit more, saying that I don't plan to track the car.

I'm beginning to think I was a bit hasty buying my eibachs, maybe should have splashed out a bit more, saying that I don't plan to track the car.

Rears are damper and spring in stock location.

I do not believe anyone is doing a true rear coilover yet for this car and the design of the top mount might prevent it as moving the spring to the coilover and top mount applies far more pressure to an area which was never designed for it.

Yeah, I never liked that idea, E30s used to punch the coilover through the shock mount, horrible design.

Giboo is quite correct here. Steeda have recently released our front coilover kit with rear adjustable kit to match:

I was talking to HQ about it, and they said exactly that. The rear set up cannot handle a rear coilover conversion. Only the factory race cars have them, and they are specifically uprated at the rear, and use the roll cage as a reinforcing / mounting point too, in order to be able to do so.

Also note our kit comes WITH the Steeda Camber adjust top mounts included.

This and also owning an E46 which can take true rear coilover rears the benefits for the road are zero and even on track the gains are minimal.

The Mustang with true rear coilovers would for sure break unless the car had reinforced mounting points which unless your building a race car would be a waste of money.
