How much is it to get these unlocked to use with another tuner? Seems hard to find the information compared to SCT charging $150 to unmarry a locked device.

Not sure, but I'm pretty sure it's not cheap to switch tuners. I'd say if you're looking to go somewhere other than PBD this wouldn't be your best bet. If you do want PBD, this is a great deal!

Would I be able to use this as just a gauge, before getting a tune? Also, does the ngauge typically come with any type of mount?

Not sure, you would have to ask PBD as i've only ever used it with a tune. I'm not including the mount but they can be purchased on PBD's website.

Yes, the gauges and data logging work without a tune or unlock.
