Open the hood and have someone rev the car to 6500 and you'll see what I mean. It is backwash after the bov closes and flutters. It does sound really cool although

You should dyno around 630-660 I'd think. I had the same setup and it did 131-134 in the traps. It is a lot of fun

The vortech on my foxbody did that and I remember having to change the power pipe and bov but that was so long ago I don't remember half of it. I'd rather it not surge so it doesn't wreck the damn thing. Did you change your bov or did your car not have this issue?

my overall goal from the start was around 650hp and a 10 second car. If the track is open this weekend I might take it out to see how it does. But I'll probably take it easy on the drivetrain since I'm still on stock clutch and halfshafts with drag radials.

How was the tune done? I'm a little curios how remote tuning works without an actual dyno

The tuner will typically send an idle tune based upon your mods. After that,

- Let car idle until normal temp, log, send to tuner
- Repeat if necessary
- Receive new tune for a slow 3000-5500 pull, log, send to tuner
- Repeat if necessary
- Receive new tune for WOT pull, log, send to tuner
- Repeat if necessary

Pretty much this. Mine was an idle log and netural rpm rev hold at three different rpms log, slow rpm climb log (no boost), wide open throttle 2500-5000rpm, WOT 2500-7200 (i did this twice). I sent each log back and he would reply with the next set of instructions and a tune revision to upload after reading the logs. I only had three revisions all together. I started logs at 4pm and Thursday and by 4pm yesterday it was all done. And that was with me running errands and stuff in between pulls. The guys over at Lund are definitely on top of their game and are lightning quick with their replies.

This has not been my experience at all. I purchased the same kit from Beefcake. I sent my first log on Monday 3/7. That means I sent my first log 3 days before your kit was installed. I have only received 1 revision per day. My car is still at my installer and the tune is not complete. Sounds like your experience has been great though.

Curious to know, Who's doing your install? Do they have a dyno? PM me if you prefer.

The kit was installed by Mike Post. He is very reputable in the Chicago mustang community. He has a dyno and he is very patient. He's only interested in a happy customer.

Overall so far has been great. I just need to get rid of the compressor surge. I can only speak on my experience with the remote tune, and some of the replies were sent back to me within minutes

Not difficult at all. I'd say 3/10 for difficulty. Directions were very clear. I honestly didn't really read them all the way because it's pretty straight forward. I started it the night before I had surgery and it was done a couple days later. I was only doing a few hours here and there after the day of surgery. My girlfriend, who knows nothing about cars, gave me a hand where I needed it and she was surprised at how simple it was. Total it probably took me 10 hours. I also swapped out the grill while I had the front off which took an extra half hour or so.

Where about in NC are you? I'm contemplating the same kit and would like to know how the car is vs our car as it sits.

Is there any grinding/cutting metal pieces required in this kit? Thanks in advance!
