I am running the factory cat with a cat back exhaust and CAI along with the tune. All I had to do was reload the stock tune to pass.

If you don't have one borrow one and see if your status monitors are all ready. There may be some that aren't supported which is OK but if you have more than one that is not ready (or incomplete) you fail the emissions test.
So there would be a definite interest in a simulator.
Of course a high quality one....not based on a 555 timer, or simple resistor/capacitor.
And I also assume the defoulers wont work either.

I would like to share our progress in this area, As we are the only one's to create a fix for the BMW N55 engine, the issue is the same as yours,

catless, and a tune that either autoclears faults, or simply inhibits the checking of it (no readiness). This can be very bad, I will try to offer an explanation later.

Hey, just wanted to follow up on this thread and see if you found a solution? I planned on getting a catless midpipe to go with my headers, and wanted to know what i can do to solve the emissions problem in the future?
