hey guys. I recently damaged my passe.ger door with a propane tank. Lol.

Well it is able to be repaired. But it is going to cost anywhere between $750-1000.

I found a replacement door on ebay for around $400. It is the same color code that I have.

Will the white look a little off compared to the rest of the car ?

And will some polishing/bufffing/ and waxing help match things up?

Any opinions?

By the way My car is oxford white YZ

If the color code of the replacement door is the same (YZ), it should be a match based on the color code, but there may be slight differences in hue or tone of the color match.

Conditions such as how the replacement door was taken care of, sun bleaching or a possible repaint of that door will affect color hue.

There is really no guarantee that even if YZ is the same paint used through a few years of factory production that the hue will be exactly as your original.

The same would be true if a body shop fixed the original and painted it. Depending on the Tech’s paint mixing skills, brand of paint used, how it was applied and blended - you could end up with a job where the color still isn’t an exact match.

I’d say go with the complete door replacement, at least you will have damage free sheet metal and a close enough (or maybe exact) match. I also had posted instructions on this site a while back for other users in pdf form on how to R&R the doors plus alignment of them:
