Partial VIN

Hello Everyone,

Today, my dealer sent me a text saying there is a partial VIN for my GT350. The partial VIN had seven numbers and letters in it. Does this mean the car is very close to being put into production? Thanks!

That sounds wacky... the 1st 8 are the same for all 19 gt350s. 9 is a check digit. 10 is K 11 12 and 13 are all 5's for 19 gt350s... last 4 are all that are unique...

If you have an order number and a dealer code, call ford performance and get the vin. Go to researchmaniacs and get your window sticker. With that you get your blend date (or born on date).

Partial vin..... what a load of crap.

In my experience, the entire OEM automotive parts supply chain runs on 7-digit partial VIN's - not just Ford but all the OEM's. I don't think this is unusual.

They usually ask for the last 8 in reference to parts.....

Guessing the 7 they gave you is what shows up on the DORA.... A6P8JZ K

A full vin comes once it's scheduled/accepted, and a window sticker shows up about a week before it's built...

I wish I knew when it'd actually ship though!!!!
