Hi,

I searched around the forum a bit, but was unable to find an answer.

Is there a setting that controls the audio compensation while reversing the vehicle? I have been finding it very annoying when the audio volume decrease when the parking sensor are working. the worst part is when you are on a phone call and you suddenly cannot hear the other person because of this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Shift into neutral or park before answering the call?

Yep, turning it off is the only way, as far as I know. You can get to it in the settings menu in the gauge cluster.

Also, what you can do is to ONLY turn it off once in a while. As soon as you put the car in reverse, the parking sensor option will automatically pop up on the gauge cluster screen. From my experience, turning it off at that point will only turn it off for that particular time. The next time you reverse, it should be back on. I've found this to be helpful on rare occasions where I don't want to lose sound.

On a side note, every once in a while, the parking sensor beeping, which sounds like it's usually coming from the rear speakers, actually comes from my gauge cluster (or somewhere up front). Weird.

Doesn't the screen in the dash pop up asking you if you want to turn the sensors off every time you put the car in reverse?
You just hit down button and click okay to turn it off.

Yeah... I have turned it off now and then, but was wondering if there was a setting to turn it off permanently or control the amount of volume it reduces.

thanks all for the help. I guess I just need to learn to live with it.

Yes, you can turn it off permanently.

When you're actually backing up and you turn them off on the screen that pops up, that seems to only work for that moment. It seems to automatically come back on the next time.

That being said, while you're just sitting in neutral or whatever, go through the gauge cluster menu to "Drivers Aids". I believe it can be permanently turned off there.

Unfortunately I haven't seen a way to control the volume though I get what you're saying, it is annoying sometimes that it mutes it so much.
