If you turn in a plate to your insurance company for your claim its a "not at fault" claim. If you simply turn in a claim with no plate and no police report it will be considered "at fault". It makes a difference when your premium becomes due again....

What are you going to do with a license plate? Do the police even care? Is it considered a hit and run?

Good points. DON'T EVER TAKE UP 2 PARKING SPOTS. Your just inviting assholes to come out just to screw with you. Just my 2 cents...

As an older guy what I have learned is no one cares about your stuff anymore, there is no respect for other people's things. In a world where folks are concerned that you have health care, or eat the right food or don't drink soda etc. etc. they just don't give a shit about other people's "things".

There is no answer. I would say parking in two spots just sets you up for some asshole. I try to park strategically but let's face it your going to get a ding or two eventually.

My wife's car is the ding King, never seen anything like it. Lol.

Police are no longer allowed at least in my state to give police reports on private property. For example even a grocery store lot is not allowed anymore. Its bs.

I don't have a Mustang (hence the name) yet but a few weeks ago after I washed my current car and went out, someone spat on my windshield. You can see the spray and a big dried spot. Most disgusting animals. Black cars look freaking pristine when it's freshly washed.

Just jealousy I guess.

I didn't just make up that story. I've been to 50+ calls on these neighbor disputes. Running over the kids bike took care of the problem. I'm not advocating it I'm just saying what the results were. And of course its a case by case decision. For the extreme neighbors who just don't seem to care. Its like a fine, now the parents have to spend a $100 bucks to buy a new bike for their kid. No one gets in a fight, no one goes to jail for a confrontation gone bad.

I wasn't suggesting that for everyones case, but more specifically hers. Its obviously on a case by case basis. Im not sure id want to run the bikes over in my wifes truck. It very well could damage something. The point really is, peoples kids should play in their own yards. Which running over their bike I doubt would solve that issue. Just where they leave it.

BMW 3-series drivers are some of the worst drivers. They can't seem to stay in one lane, never signal when turning, speed up to well above the limit on main roads, are usually oblivious to anyone else on the road... Total menaces on the road always with a damn phone to their ear.
Fixed it.

Or even worse:

Anyone with a new license who just bought an old BMW 328 or 335, or is spoiled enough to get a brand new M-series.

20 year old in BMW M4 = your engine is now a tree huger.

Waste of an M4. That tree took it like a boss.

I found the perfect spot at work and started parking there. No one ever bothered to park in this spot due to the walking distance from the spot to the main door.

Maybe after about two weeks I come to work one day and find the woman I mentioned earlier's banged up car in that spot. I thought maybe it was because there were no spots. Next day same thing until after about two weeks I finally asked her about it and she said she never realized what a good spot it was until I started parking there and first comr first serve.

To this day we both are having a subliminal war over this parking spot lol. If she gets it before me I just park my car elsewhere where the spot is blocked on one side. If I get the spot first she parks RIGHT NEXT to me even though there are a plethora of open spots.
Even if she parks next to you , she will probably be careful about your car and hers since you know each other. Probably better than someone else at work you don't know parking next to you there.

I wish haha. I wait in my car before work and she usually gets out of her car before me, she's very careless with her door and if it weren't for me parking far enough away in my spot she'd ding my door. She also gets very close to rubbing against my car when getting stuff out of the back seat.

To add insult to injury it was the first M4 off the production line I think. Spoiled 20 year old daddies son went and floored it.

I'm sure that's precisely her plan. Hoping one gets injured on his property so she can capitalize. Sounds like a pice of shit, no good, menace to society. BUT, she may be a reeeeal nice lady otherwise LOL.
I've heard and seen two teenagers doing this for this exact reason. It was at an intersection and one kid was on a bicycle up on the hill filming his buddy who was sitting on his bicycle checking his cellphone facedown in middle of the yield lane in a blind spot because there is an evergreen and a telephone pole in the triangle area...Anyways, he was trying to be hit and they staged it so look out because even kids now are looking for pay outs.
