I think some of the panel fitment on my car could be better, pictures below are from the bottom rear of the passenger and drivers door. The passenger side is worse than the drivers side. Anyone else experienced similar issues, after all these cars are not cheap!!.

Yep that looks fine to be honest. No adjustment on plastic items like the skirts anyway they just clip on.

As mentioned you have bought a V8 Muscle car from the USA not a Diesel German saloon. There’s no other cars you can get with a V8 Petrol engine for the same money.

I think if you start raising issues like this with a Ford dealer you are going to cause yourself unnecessary stress, just enjoy the car :)

Yes you are all right, don't get me wrong i love the car it is better than i expected and every time i start it up i smile, just wondered if this is a common thing, my mate has a 2018 Mustang and he has just called round and when we checked his car it was exactly the same as mine the same panels were slightly out of line. Love the car just a few things i would of liked it to have had such as front parking sensors and a heated windscreen but i am enjoying the experience so far.

I'm an auto design Engineer. Had my GT just over a month. Time enough to see how they've thrown my car together.

However, I was prepared for it, having seen U.S. built cars on "bench marking".

I probably see more than folk who don't work in the industry.

Panel gap & flush can sometimes be "tweaked" if you need to.
I'm not too fussed, I enjoy my GT for what it does best.

I also have a 16 GT. The passenger side is perfect. The drivers side was done by Stevie Wonder i think. I have just left it as it came. I am sure getting the dealers to try to tweak it is as likely to create more issues as it is to sort the original problem.

Spot on Bud! Which is why I'm "living with it". Yeah, if you're use to German product (I've owned a lot of modern German cars), then you might be dissapointed with fit & finish. At least, until like me, one begins to realize there's no valid comparison, imo!
Luv the Stang for what it is, forget about what it ain't.

Yep, both of my Vettes had some interesting panel alignment and materials...and the less said about the Gen4 Camaro the better...but it didn't make them any less enjoyable to drive :) I always found it amusing that a certain overly-aggressive former Top Gear presenter took pleasure in prodding panels on US-built cars to show them flex, and at the same time said you can't be a petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa! (At least the Vette panels flexed - on an Alfa your finger would go through the rust!)

Mine was the same, loose on the drivers side and acceptable on the passenger side.

After the first service, I noticed that the drivers side had been corrected without me even asking. I was so surprised I phoned the dealer and thanked them for doing such a thing, un-prompted.
