I have a white 2017 Mustang GT with active cruise control. I just ordered the LVA splitter and will have to remove the bumper to install it. After seeing the 2018+ piano black grills, I'm thinking piano black would look good on the 2017 grills. Anybody tried painting the grills? Any issues with the active cruise control sensor? I think it can be hydro dipped or painted. There's a few guys in my city that can do it.

Leave the grill in place, and tape off the surrounding area.
Spray several cans of this… what could go wrong:

I painted the grill of a Pontiac once. Used a spray paint that required baking the grill in the oven for a bit. Worked rather well, but probably not appropriate for this application. I think it was some sort of engine paint (this was over a decade ago).

Maybe I'll put 3 cans just to be safe
