Picked up my calipers from the paint shop today. I had them spray the red G2 epoxy paint. I added silver high-temp Brembo decals and sprayed clear VHT high-temp paint over the decals. Should be good to go.

Wow....:love::eyebulge:

Those are beautiful.

Look for something that refers to high temp decals
Something I did that was a little time consuming, I painted the calipers with a red caliper paint, then I put the brembo stickers on. I then painted the calipers black and painted over the brembo stickers. Once dry I went back carefully with a razor and peeled the brembo stickers away and what was left is the red paint that I first put on. So now I have the brembo logo etched Permentley. Might of been a lot to do, but I liked the idea

Can you post a pic of the results?

Definitely, but you have to take off the calipers and rebuilt and bleed the brakes; not a DYI job for most. Not something that I'd personally do on my car either.

You can get a pretty smooth finish with brushed G2 it's self-leveling.

The key is prep prep prep. The tape job should take 3 times longer than painting. If you get it taped up perfectly wedge tape on the rotor up under the pad then you'll get right to the caliper edges perfectly without risking painting the rotor and you will never know unless the caliper is off the car.

Or just pop off the 2 caliper bolts and hang the caliper from a wire hanger in the wheel well and paint. Then no bleeding.

Personally taping is good enough for me; no one is looking behind my calipers or the inside portion

I agree. I have used G2 on my 01 and 03 Cobra calipers and love the end results. It is perfect for my needs, too.

Definitely takes more time. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist though and I had new stainless brake lines to install....voila'....new Motul Race brake fluid with the new lines and freshly painted calipers. The disassembly & reassembly is pretty easy and straightforward. Plus, I'm teaching my 17 year old son along the way. :thumbsup:

A buddy of mine did these on a cadillac ctsv. I was going to powder coat until he showed me this. Just had to take the wheels off, mask off rotors and spray:

The only issue is he said the blue coating was a clear blue coat, being that the base color on the cadillacs brake was a light silver, the blue showed through pretty good while leaving the V logo still visable. I don't know if we will get the same results on our performance pack brembos. If someone wishes to try it, i attached a photo of the products.
Excatly what I'm going to do:headbang:
