Did you use all the G2 paint in both kits to get the right coverage you wanted? Did you finally do 3 coats on each caliper?

That blue looks great! If only our rear brakes aren't so dinky looking. Has anyone upgraded their rear brakes to something bigger?

Yep I did about 3-4 coats on each caliper. The end of the video, during the decal application, shows the end result after all coats have been applied. The color turned out amazing on the car! I highly recommend doing this after you have decided on which color scheme you are going with.

I have used G2 in the past on my 01 and 03 Cobra's but those were dual piston calipers on the front, so much smaller than my 6 pot GTPP calipers. This is why I was curious if you really used up the paint in 2 kits. Now that I know, I will need to order another kit before I start.

I am going with red and already have the Brembo stickers. My car is Ingot and have these wheels with red center caps, so I think it will look really good together.

A buddy of mine did these on a cadillac ctsv. I was going to powder coat until he showed me this. Just had to take the wheels off, mask off rotors and spray:






The only issue is he said the blue coating was a clear blue coat, being that the base color on the cadillacs brake was a light silver, the blue showed through pretty good while leaving the V logo still visable. I don't know if we will get the same results on our performance pack brembos. If someone wishes to try it, i attached a photo of the products.

That blue turned out AMAZING....I am even going to keep a coat of carnuba wax on mine...Did this on my other cars and really helps when washing them

I did mine with G2 in blue. Came out great. Brembo vinyl on the way.

The stock calipers are that dark grey color in the back. I taped them off and sprayed the blue with Duplicolor blue caliper paint. The Brembo is a decal off of ebay. Cost me like $20.00 for the paint and decal. I even left the calipers on the car to do it. Taped off the entire wheel well and sides of the car.

Painting the entire caliper in my opinion looks kind of overdone. Just my opinion though.

I've used custom mixed G2 caliper paint for two other cars (CTSV Coupe and STi) and it has held up exceptionally well. I have tracked the car as well and noticed zero peeling or flaking. For both cars, I opted to have the paint sprayed by a local painter to make sure the finish was great.
