It looks fine to me. You have to take lighting, angles and body lines into account when looking at metallic paints as their appearances will shift based on those things. Unless Iā€™m just missing it, but I did zoom in on all the pics. @Inthehighdesert Charlie do you see anything that Iā€™m not?

Welcome to the forums. Sorry you had to join us on this topic and not something more fun.

I felt the following could provide some general insight as to why things sometimes show the way they do.

The quote, from another forum, is part of a discussion on why plastic bumper covers can sometimes present differently than metal body panels.

"...I work at a Honda assembly plant where the Civic Hatch and CRV are made, in the Paint/Plastics Department. The reason I say this is because we have the same exact "issue" on our cars, especially the White and Dark Grey. The paint for the bumpers is a water-based paint whereas the body paint is a solvent-based paint. Thats where the discrepancy lies. It's kind of an industry standard for painting plastic with water based and using a completely different type of clear coat on plastic as well. If they were to use the same for both, they'd have bonding issues."

Specific to your concerns, a like thread from a another 6G Member:

Since the bumper cover is plastic, it might appear to look a little different since itā€™s plastic vs metal. Any pics you can share that show what the new bumper looks like compared to the existing paint?
Is there a difference between the front bumper cover and the rear?

If you are not happy donā€™t take it until you are satisfied!
