Paint Match, am I being dramatic?

Interesting points and valid. You can see the difference in this brand new car. The metal fender and plastic bumper aren't exactly the same shade. It's been brought up before in regards to these Brittany Blue cars. There's a little metallic in the paint so that's the issue versus a solid color.

@waltrs don't be too upset if they try to fix it and it's not perfect. But hopefully it gets better than what it is.

Correct, however if its factory paint it is expected as they paint the bumpers separate from the vehicles with a different batch of paint, however even if you did it from the same batch it would be slight different, unless you have the car grounded and anti static discharge gun while shooting. there are ways to get this almost perfect, just that 97% of shops don't have it because insurance and the general public don't want to pay for a correct paint job.

You would be surprised when you tell someone how much an all over (full car) is and they say well "Maaco brand MSO) has a ________ insert price, well yes they also paint your radiator and condenser for free they also give you free over spray through the vehicle especially in the engine bay and under carriage. WELL YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR in paint. Treat Bodyshop's the same way you treat your tuners and or engine builders, do research and then choose.

I used Maaco once when I was young, in the military, and making $550 a week. They got red paint on the white convertible top of my 10yr old 89 GT. I figured, well, a real paint job would be $5000.00 and not $399.

Wanted to update this thread for anyone seeking closure lol. I brought it back, they had the car for a month. Came back and instead of respraying, they told me they blended the hood and fender seams with the color of the bumper. Much better, still noticeable, but I was done dealing with it.

Hopefully I'll be wrapping it soon anyway.

Name and shame the body shop imo , when they handed it back to you the bumper to bonnet was night and day . No way i would have signed of on that . You need to name them so no-one else from here goes to them IMO .. Your car looks great by the way outside the 2 tone paint ..

It actually does not look as noticeable this time via your images after the 2nd repaint. The first image you had posted, yes, for sure one could tell the nose cone was a different shade. But now, at least in the more recent pic it’s harder to tell from an online image.

Is it more noticeable to you in brighter daylight or just because you “know” where the paint cutoff is from the 2nd repaint due to being told?

yeah, i'm still not happy. just done dealing with insurance shops. i moved recently, i'll try and re engage with USAA and see if i can get reimbursed if i take it to a shop of my choice. it not, oh well.
