My previous 17 GT was bought back because of ticking noise and excessive piston slap. I got the 18 GT for the new vehicle, and it is making the exact and louder ticking noise and currently waiting for the motor replacement. Previously, it was bought back because it was sitting at the dealership for 30 days, but now its been over 2 months waiting for the motor but I am driving the car. Anythoughts? Thank you.

You qualify only IF you meet the requirements for your state,

For Georgia:

If your vehicle is new and has a qualifying defect, you are covered by the lemon law rights for up to 2 years after your purchase or up to 24,000 miles, whichever comes sooner.

You'll need to allow the manufacturer or its authorized dealer a reasonable number of attempts to fix your vehicles defect. A reasonable number of attempts is defined as either:

  • 3 attempts for most issues.
  • 1 attempt for defects that could cause serious injury or death.
    OR
  • After being out of service for at least 30 days.

Your still driving the car so its not exactly out of service.
