P0451 Evap FTP sensor location/code

Hey all, I got my 2020 GT almost 2 years ago now, I’ve modded it significantly Lund tuned, of course they changed the rules so they no longer turn off CEL for the O2 sensors. This drove me nuts so finally a couple months ago I figured out how to trick the O2’s so I’d no longer have a CEL, so I put the foulers on and turned the car on low and behold still had the CEL, but I then proceeded to plug in my BlueDriver scan tool (these are awesome btw only 100$ on Amazon they give live data tell you fixes and everything) well sure enough after plugging it in I in fact did clear the O2 sensor codes but unfortunately there was a new thorn in my side a friggin P0451 and from what I’m reading it’s the FTP sensor after you get your car undercoated which I did….pain in the friggin a** lol anyway I bought a new one but based on everything I’m reading you gotta drop the whole rear end the fuel tank undo the drive shaft all kinds of crap I don’t wanna do. But I did find one guy on a forum that I can’t find anymore who said that he was able to get to it just but jacking up the rear end and undoing the fuel tank brackets kinda just letting the tank drop then he claims you can get your hand on it and replace it. My thing is I wanna try that I just don’t know where the hell the darn thing is and which side or where to start grabbing for it. Can anyone tell me where it’s located? So I’m not going in blind and have an idea of where I should be trying to get to. Any help would be super appreciated. This is what it looks like. Thanks all

I don't know if this is too late of a reply, but I have a 2017 GT and have FINALLY located the fuel tank pressure sensor. It is located near the backwall of the fuel tank pretty much centered on the car, just above the differential and in front of the rear axle. It is pretty hard to reach, but feasible. The tubing is held against the underbody with two plastic holders. Removing the tubing from these two holders gives a bit of slack to pull the FTPS on the side and make it easier to manipulate.
I would not try to remove the whole tubing (I guess that is what requires the fuel tank to be removed) but I would cut the actual tubing and install the new FTPS next to the faulty one and switch the connector from the old FTPS to the new one. Be careful while the tubing is open as gasoline fumes will surround you (no smoking, no spark of any sort!).
For the moment, I only tried to clean the sensor with a CFC airflow cleaner (it had Krown undercoating fumes on it), waiting a while to see if the Check Engine Light with eventually turn itself off. If not, I'll look at the possibility to change it myself using the method stated above. Ford dealership charges 850$CAD + tx to change it.
If anyone manages to change the FTPS on his own, please take the time to update this post (pictures would be great)!

Funny, I had P0453 on my 2008 F 150 and my 2017 Mustang GT at the same time, both inspections were due March and April, low and behold they both had a broken wire right comming out of the sensor plug. Saved a bunch of money : )

I'm glad it helped.

In my case, I ended up bringing the Stang to the dealership and got rid of the issue. It cost me 1100$CAD to get the job done...and I had to bring the car back a week later because a screw holding the subframe had not been tightened and was about to fall. The car was making weird body noises while taking curves and the retractable roof was not closing thight. I strongly recommended the dealership NOT to send me the survey where they almost force you to give a 10/10 note...

So im having the P0456 CEL, and hooked up an obd tool and saw my evap pressure is reading ~15-30 kPa...which is so obviously wrong. So im in the boat now of needing to change this sensor but im just curious, the picture you showed is an inline sensor is that the correct one? I though this sensor screwed into the tank itself? I'm just trying to make sure I get the right one...and trying to avoid jacking the car up myself to look even though I know ill need to do that eventually.

Welp, I went ahead and jacked it up and did confirm it is the inline style. For future reference here are some pictures I took of it on mine but it is reight above the diff, on the passenger aft side.

Also from research it appears the part number needed is 9U5A-9C052-BC. So I've ordered the sensor and will also attempt to swap it out once it gets here. I'll report back if it all ends up working...fingers crossed.

Please do update once complete. I have had this problem for years after I had Krown rust proofing applied. I just clear it out every week but its annoying.
