I turned my car (2016 GT) on tonight after 1 week of not been driven and my check engine light came on. The car drove fine so i took to advance auto part to read the code and it came out to be code P0018 - Crankshaft Position (Camshaft Position Correlation Bank 2 Sensor A). I drove around some more and turned off the car and turned it back on and the light did not turn on this time. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Has anyone else have had the same issue as me. Car has 7900 miles and the only mode i have is a corsa touring axle back.

I took the car to the dealer today to have it checked, that was this morning at 7:30 eastern time and still no call at 4:46 pm eastern time. Does anyone know how long it takes to have your car looked at by the dealer?

If the CEL didn't return, you don't necessarily have a problem with the engine. That being said, if something is faulty, it may be an intermittently-faulty cam position sensor.

If the dealership has been working on your car since you dropped it off, chances are they're trying to access this sensor to see if it's damaged.

Got the car back from the dealer, they replaced the Control Valve Solenoid part BR3Z-6M280-D. Does anyone know what this part does?
