Spotted a Race Red GT Fastback in Emerald today with the number plate GTPETE, looked lowered with an exhaust system, Roush side scoops as well as different rims. Also at least one Ruby Red GT Fastback on Maroondah highway city bound around Chirnside Park to Ringwood, then saw another (or possibly the same) Ruby Red a few hours later on the same road closer to Box Hill

Went to the local Cars and Coffee on the Central Coast yesterday. There were 2 other new Mustangs on display. Another 2016 Race Red (CAD 06B) and a 2017 Magnetic (73 Phil). Not sure if they are members of the Forum. Travelled down to Kenthurst afterwards fro a family function. Did see a new Silver Mustang travelling in the opposite direction on Pennant Hills Road and it looked like it had Red Leather seats.

Sneaky security cam pic of one across the road at the panel beaters...
It's an EcoBoost and I literally couldn't hear it at all.

Here's a couple more I spotted when I was there on Vacation. One in front of a kebab shop in Banksia, and one on the M4 westbound just west of Parramatta.

Overall sighted four on my two-week trip. Two in Oxford White, one Deep Impact Blue and one Race Red. All GTs. I actually didn't expect to see as many as I did!

Nice, I'll be over in your area early next year and expect to see millions of the damn things everywhere along the coast... we're driving the West Coast and taking my daughter out to Disney in Anaheim and she loves spotting Mustangs, so I think she's in for a treat ;)

You can even rent one :) I'm actually in the process of starting my visa application and hope to be moving to Sydney in a year. Sadly, I doubt I'll be able to get a Mustang right away (probably hard to finance with a "no history" credit rating).

Mate its not so much the credit rating unless you have bad history, its more that they look at savings and income.

Can I ask how your bad luck car is going now? Thats an insane amount of problems!

Good to know. Typically US lenders rank "no credit" similarly to bad credit. it doesn't make a lot of sense. I'm definitely good on income (north of AU$150k pa) and I'll need to build up savings (not an issue, I don't plan to get a car straight off).

My Mustang at the moment still needs the BCM replaced, but I need to take it to my purchasing dealer two hours away to get reputable technicians to help me conclusively rule out LED bulbs as the cause.

You might find it easy to get a novated lease for one. typically 3-5 year leases with 50-30% residule respectively. And no GST on purchase price. You only need your employer to allow sallary sacrafice for novated lease on motor vehicles.

That's extremely interesting. Might be a stretch to get the employer to sign off, but worth exploring.

Yeah, I want to, but we'll have 5 people and nobody else wants to drive! :(

As for the buying one - still a 12-15 month wait, so order one straight away and save up while it gets built :)

:focus:
It's still there

Last time I saw the Mustang Motorsport Targa car it was on a trailer having just been pulled out of a paddock. Good to see it back in fighting trim.
