Must have been lucky, a higher up 4wd (most likely a soccer mom and her annoying kids) open the door it hits up near the edge of the window or something like. I've copped a few and paint has been removed in such an example.

It's just better to avoid carparks or find single vehicle spots only
Look I don't go to shopping centres that often - in a year I might go 15 times or so. On average I would spend a few hours there. Quite often, when I pull into a space, the car that's parked next to me is still there when I get back. Obviously if you leave the car there the entire day your chances are worse. Maybe try to shorten your stays. Secondly, when people park next to a fancy car they tend to take extra care when opening the doors (well, most do anyway). If I were to park next to a Ferrari, I'd be ultra careful when opening my doors. An old VN Commodore? I probably wouldn't even care about my door touching it (I also have a theory that if you keep your car looking good - clean and sparkly, your odds are a bit better than if your car looks ordinary, since it will appear to have more value).
The last time I got a ding in a shopping centre or anywhere - probably the early 2000s (About 5 years ago a woman scraped my car in a private car park - she left a note admitting fault. Not really going to count that incident though). It's silly to avoid them entirely based on the very low odds of something like this happening. Just use common sense, basically. My main concern about parking my Mustang anywhere will be theft, not dings.

Just saw a Race Red drive past in Macquarie Park.
Too far away to tell any further details.

Three spotted today in Melbourne in a period of 1 hour! You definitely see more of them on the public holidays and weekends.

Captured them all on my dashcam. 1x GT coupe, 1x GT convertible, 1x EB coupe (and all with those stupid slim black and white plates, and black wheels - ergh).

Yeah I'll take the slim line plates over the stupid plates you mention above - cringeworthy

Yeah they are good enough for me, especially on black. But I think its a pitty people knock others choices, its all personal choice and the thing I love best is the individuality these cars enable. :headbang:

Spotted this CO this morning. My 3 year old absolutely loved it!

That is Competition Orange I presume, pity it has been deleted from the 2017 range. Love the colour. It is also a pity Ford only offer those fading 'over the top' stripes. I think that is the first example I have seen on a Australian car.

Had one, loved it, sold it :(

There's been a couple for sale on carsales, but mine and one of the others have gone... definitely the best colour. I've already told my wife we'll buy one back in 10 years, when they hit the bottom of the depreciation cycle ;)
