I've got the US size Mustang plates, go back to previous page - post 1435 and have a look.

I think on the back they look great... on the front the slim lines maybe better but you'll spend a lot more to get mismatching plates. And I don't think the US size look _bad_ in the front by any means.

hm...true. it looks a bit odd at the front :/

Anyone not got personalised plates?
I don't. But it's not because I don't want one. I've just been agonizing over what to get lol. :D When I come up with a good one I'll get it. Provided it's not already taken like everything else I tried lol.

And I drove past a race red with black roof EB yesterday on the Kwinana Fwy South. Gave them a wave and they waved back. :D Gives me warm fuzzies inside everytime hahah

The good is that the plates are black and orange, and the black will match the black car. The bad, is that I think NRL plates on a beast may just be tacky..
I originally had NRL (Bulldogs) plates on my DIB, and the blue/white plates went well with the car. Have since swapped them out for Mustang themed plates which I think suit the car better. As an added benefit, this has probably also reduced my chances of getting keyed - well, until yesterday's election result, that is.

Saw a Black GT down at the beach the other day with Cronulla NRL plates which didn't look too bad. Strangely enough, everyone is suddenly a Cronulla supporter around the Shire - they need bandwagon themed plates around here.

anybody owns a yellow convertible GT ? 05CAT. Nice wheels btw :)

saw it at ryde today.
I remember reading somewhere a while back that the local arm of the Caterpillar machinery company were getting some TY 'stangs as company cars.

Was possibly one of those.

DIB GT Fastback in council carpark at Sutherland just now.

Not sure I'd be parking it there.

Sure I have spotted you around windsor in the last few days, otherwise someone else has an identical setup with the stripe.

I am not planning on getting any. Will stick with random combination, though black slimlines
I am doing the same. Spent hours trying different combinations on the VicRoads website, came up with a couple of good ones, but most of the obvious ones are already taken.

Random combinations are more anonymous, if it is possible to be anonymous at all driving a bright blue G6 Mustang; I suspect not!

Why they dont have slim plate black and red in nsw ?

I have to deal with the cheap black and white.

Am I allowed to plasti dip the letters on the plate. I want the black background with red letters in slim which they don't have.
I can have it in bigger size

Originally they did do the black and red in slimlines....... When I had mine made the option was not there.... I rang them up and asked why.

Apparently, Black and red is not readable in slimlines. However Black and orange is fine in slimlines!

So as usual, the authorities, and their rules don't have to make sense. they just have to be there.

I would much rather have had my colour matched plates in slim form, but I guess we can be thankful that we even have the colour matched option. Rather than the old Yellow/blacks or the standard black/white combos.

(which depending on your vehicles colour, might colour match anyway, but you get my point.)

hm... that sucks...

Well, I bought a new plate in black and white because the black and red is too big for my taste haha.

Number plate is 50S550 :)

DIB with silver/white stripes like phil545 but not him, since it was a woman driving and he's in Melbourne.

Saw a black FB right afterwards on Epping road. Neither of them seemed to see me and couldn't get a picture of either but I did snap this Porsche GT4 :) ... and a BMW 1M (quite rare) passed me a minute after.
