Hey guys. I've been reading posts here and decided to join the forum. I'm Lookin to buy 2015 mustang gt premium with pp. I've been to one dealer so far. I brought the otd price down from 43xxx to 39895 not including dmv fees. I wanted them to give me a otd price and said I can't go higher than 40000. They can back with 40317 which me and my wife found insulting cause it was gonna be 40295 if they included the $400 dmv fee so in effect they not only declined our counter offer of 40000 but they increased the price from 40295 to 40319. When I asked the manager what gives he simply said you should have taken it before. Background to this story was the manager was being so abrasive since we entered the showroom and he was being a dick all throughout the way he talked to us. The salesperson in comparison was nice. So due to that we walked out cause I couldn't give business to someone who treats their customer like that.

Now I just joined MCA and got an plan pin. Do you guys think I can find a better deal? Another question...what OTD price are you guys getting for gt premium with pp and from which state? I'm from New Jersey.

Hey, if you're not happy with the price then definitely don't pay it. A lot of folks have been getting the xplan and I'd just call around for a dealer who'll give it to you, if you can't get the price down beforehand.

Honestly, a lot if these sales managers are being dicks for no other reason due to it being a brand new car. In 2 months when sales get slower (because who honestly buys a mustang in December ) you'll get a great price. Stick to your guns

Go to this link and click on the very first link in the post for Ikhan's Google Sheet:

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php/2015-mustang-pricing-1829.html

You can calculate your own X-Plan price for the car you want, then add sales tax and fees for New Jersey. You can get a nice GT Premium or GT PP out the door for $40K; not sure you'll quite make it on a Premium PP.

Have fun!

By the way, your dealer is an ass, and I wouldn't go back there on a bet.

It depends on the options you want in the car, the way I ordered my car the x-plan came out to 39827 before taxes and fees.

So my out the door price is going to be 43363.16 +/- 100 which comprises of $39827(car)+$100(maximum paperwork fee)+$250(xplan dealer fee)+3186.16(Texas state taxes) the +/- 100 for anything I missed or if I can negotiate the paperwork fee out.

You're buying a $40K car and you're quibbling about $24?

Thanks for all the input guys. Based on the link Old 5 oh provided the price they gave me was right on the dot if I came in there with x plan pin. They gave me a very good price. I didn't have the pin at the time and never mentioned about a pin. If I add all the options (only pp and premium gt), doc fee, taxes and titling plus delivery fee it would have added to $40319. But then again that manager was being an ass. Now I just have to find a delear who would match that price or beat it. TheRican is right, I should hold out till December. Buy from dealer stock. Hopefully they'll have Saddle leather on a GT magnetic with pp. I bring my pin and hopefully my membership card will come for good measure and will stick to my gun. Thanks again everybody. Hopefully I'll be proud owner of a 5.0 soon.

First of all, that was the first dealer I went to. I didn't know I had a good deal. Secondly, on principle I wouldn't buy from a guy who's being a dick to me.

So I went to another dealer. They honored my xplan pin. Pretty much got the same price as the first dealer I went to. But this time around it was a pleasant experience. And they're ordering my car in place of their allocation so hopefully it gets to me quicker than usual. Thanks for the info guys.

Second that. 2 dealer in my area were closed down because of the poor customer service, therefore terrible sales numbers. Now only 1 dealer remains and they are definitely my go to guys since they gave me such fantastic service my first time around. Not to mention how accommodating their service depth has been.

Also check out sales tax rates for the area you are looking at. I found a couple of dealers near me that would honor the x-plan, and I too was worried about out the door price. I found a dealership that didn't have city sales tax, I just paid state and county sales tax,( sales tax is a combination of City, county and state sales tax) saved me 1400.00 in sales tax.

Your sales tax isnt based on what dealership you find, it is based on where you RESIDE. No dealership can SAVE you sales tax money. You will pay the exact same sales tax no matter where you BUY IT FROM. It all goes by YOUR ZIP and YOUR ADDRESS.

I'm gonna check into it. The dealership I ended up going too, that was their big sales pitch, and the only reason I ordered from them.
