Haha oooppps my bad, totally gutted either wayDid you mean to call him chief but instead make the best typo ever or did I miss the nicknaming thread?
Similarly, I've got an Elise and the Lotus forums are always the same around this time of year too, particularly people new to their cars. The roads will be slippery as anything for quite a while yet, and I'm assuming most people (like me) aren't all that used to having a 400hp RWD car - electronics can only do so much unfortunately. And in the case of the Elise, there aren't any at all to help, which focuses the mind despite it being 250hp less powerful! I'm glad the Mustang has traction & stability control etc.Gutted for you Ian whu. The key is that you are fine. This does remind me of TVR ownership though, lots of single vehicle accidents.
I second this.Ian,
When you feel like it, let us know what happened. You prob don't feel like talking about it, don't blame you and if you think uit was your own fault, even more so, However, I would like to know.
Did you stamp on it to accelerate?
Was you accelerating at all or just doing a steady 72?
What gear?
Did you hit a wet patch or was it evenly wet?
Did you come straight off the throttle when it lost traction or did tc come in?
In hindsite, do you think you could have done something different to save it>
Do you think you could have/should have done something different to stop it happening?
Sorry, I am not prying but we are all learning these cars. Yeh, I will be honest, I want to learn from your accident, if I can.
Sorry to ask all this and fine if you ignore.
