My wife drives the mustang 95% of the time. Its an auto though. She would never curb the wheel. I probably would though as I suck at parking.

In my old g35 coupe, I went through a drive through late at night, the inside was closed. The turn was tight and I scratched the wheel on the drivers side. Ugh that hurt, almost new car. They got my order completely wrong. I went back through being careful not to hit the drivers side. SCRRRRAAAPE on the passenger side.

Not worth the crappy ass food I got, thats for sure.

How did you communicate them to her?

they were received well. haha. I basically told her if she scrapes the car, or damages it in any way she would be in BIG TROUBLE. addle:
ha. but seriously, its grounds for divorce..haha.
she understands that I baby my cars and drives really carefully when I let her drive. which I appreciate. she also thinks I spend more time working on cars, then with her.

that's rough... one thing about my old car that I loved (BMW E90) was when you put it in reverse, the side mirrors would tilt down so you could see the curb. that was the best for parallel parking. never scraped once.

My wifes old Hyundai XG350 did this too. That is a very nice feature for a wife (and me too)! I actually often manually move the right mirror down when I back next to the curb.

My wife has a desire to drive my 14' box van occasionally so she is learning to do so. I was happy to hear that she now 'gets it' that she needs to take turns slightly later or wider than in a car. I'll ask her to be as hyper vigilant when she drives the Mustang!

My wife knows how to drive a manual. I've tried to convince her to drive mine, but she refuses. She's afraid to put a scratch on it because she knows how I'll react!

Thanks a lot guys.. lesson learned. Should have gotten the manual lol... looks like a trip to get a touch up pen from Dealer is in need today.
