FWIW, my dealer who got 1 GT350 for 2016,2017, and 2018 is only getting 1 Bullitt.
My dealer showed me a one pager on 19MY BULLITT

This is what is said about allocation:

Vehicle Allocation Strategy: Market Basket Approach
- 50% Mustang Sales / 50% Mustang GT Sales
- Reassess allocation strategy in January 2019

What does this translate to numbers-wise? How many cars based on these Mustang sales?

Bullit Availability

Having a hard time finding out how to order a 2019 Bullit. Had one dealer tell me
They were getting 4. One is sold & the selling price is $12 k over MSRP. Had no idea when cars were coming in but would be glad to take $1k to order one. I’m finding that most of the dealers I’ve contacted have no clue. Frustrated in AZ!

I gave up looking in the Phoenix area. All of the dealers are doing a minimum of 5k markup. At this point I’m just going to wait it out or get a Camaro.

If you want one bad enough, someone posted an allocation in a separate thread. Get the car shipped to you from wherever it's at or do a road trip.

Is the Bullitt eligible for x-plan? I have a dealer telling me it is and he's getting ready to put in my ordee.

If your dealer is able to put it through then go for it. I keep hearing yes and no from different people, my dealer doesn't know yet.

Ditto on hearing both...I submitted an X-plan PIN but still uncertain.

X-plan can be added to a car at delivery too still right? Doesn't have to be submitted with the order. When I bought my 2015 EcoBoost off of lot (dealer stock), I gave them my X-Plan pin then.

Yes
But that is only part of the formula. Ford is looking at the total number of Mustangs the dealership sold (for some period of time in 2018my I suspect) AND the number of GT Mustangs. They get 50/50 credit between the two categories.

What is missing is the total number of Bullitts initially planned in my19 and how the scoring breaks down based upon the number sold in those categories.

Its a points based system....sell a ton of eco bossts and you get some points there but your hurting as to your overall score as you didn't sell that many GTs - remember the Bullitt is a GT based car. If the dealership achieves xyz points they get 1, more points-2 etc.

If your a small country dealership that mainly sells trucks and only 2-3 Mustangs a year well then your out of luck. If your not moving Mustangs throughout the year your not getting one as your considered to be servicing a non-Mustang market. I know of 2 such dealersips in Northern CA. Both got 1 GT350 per yr by joining that program but rarely ever have a Mustang on the lot thus no Bullitt allocation.

Seriously -- 100% none of my business but if the only way you can afford a $50,000 car is to get a few grand off via X-Plan you are buying a car you really can't afford. Now the discount is nice and I'd gladly take it but but with all the Bullitt allocation issues...it is a minor issue.

And as Tony and others have indicated, you pull and supply the PIN at the time payment is made.
