do guys reckon my dealer is screwing me around?
I was told months ago that I would be in the first shipment and expect early December.

Its not really dealers its more dealers, Ford AU, Ford USA. No one really knows what is happening, but why would they care when they already have our money?

That'd be that random first batch allocation system Bobsp12 ?

I've seen dealer ETA's a week before mine from guys who order this year and I order 16 December 2013.
It is a disrespectful system that Ford are running gs60wa. I am sure that most people don't mind waiting their turn, but the angry's do kick in when queue jumpers arrive. It is not their fault, that's just the way the cards fell for the lucky ones, but it is a very unjust process.

I have a theory that the dealers could sell the first shipment to the highest bidders and screw the people who paid the deposits at the start of all this

In theory Ford Australia won't let them - the dealers who did that would be cut off from getting more Mustangs.

But then if a dealer did that and put an order through for another 100 Mustangs, does anyone really think Ford AU would deny them?

Bobsp12 I'd add that the most disrespectful system Ford have is their "Customer Relationship Management" system ie: they have no respect for their customers. At the risk of repeating myself ... NO communication is simply inexcusable. I hasten to add this is Ford corporate and not my dealer.

If my company treated customers like Ford does we would be out of business.

I am surprised that their facebook isn't lit up like a Xmas tree (apologies "Holiday Tree") over this BS.

You are correct with all that mate, I guess not many bother Ford on Facebook because a lot of us are older and don't use Facebook for those purposes....a more direct method is preferable, but corporations hide behind smarmy garbage called " customer relations". Try finding an email or phone number for anyone genuinely important in a large business these days.

Most companies (clearly Ford is a glaring exception) react faster to social media "complaints" than any other form of correspondence now as corporate reputations are so exposed to mass market customer influence.

The company I work for (a large US multinational) has our complete employee directory (400,000 people) searchable via our website for their email address and phone number

Is there anyone here who knows whether or not their car has left on a boat to Australia or is there anyone here who knows whether or not that their dealers demo has left on a boat to Australia. Does anyone here know whether any Mustangs are on their way to Australia or is the whole thing a BLOODY myth!!!
Ian.

I know my dealers demo doesn't arrive until after the 1st initial customer orders are delivered. I like that !!! Show's dedication to customer satisfaction. :clap2: Actually it's because Ford screwed up scheduling

That said .... as at Monday 19 October 1745 WST I haven't seen one proof point that any of the 1st Production Mustangs for Australia have left the Baltimore dock, where my GT has been parked since 9 October.

I would LOVE to be proved wrong :hail:

TAMESIS is due to sail today US time.

Hasn't moved yet and my VIN not showing as RECEIVED AT TERMINAL or LOADED ON VESSEL.

If no Australian Mustangs on TAMESIS .... it will push to PARSIFAL that departs Baltimore 27 October. And so the saga continues
