Hey Everyone,
Thanks for the updates. I'm planning on attending but can't make it until Sunday. I noticed on the website they removed the list of Ford cars to drive. The spearate article that came in last Sunday's OC Register listed the Mustang. We'll see. I just want to sit in one!!

On Order:
Deep Impact Blue Ecoboost Premium, auto, nav, 50 year app pkg

They were giving out free guides to the auto show and the back page showed the mustang as a driveable car. But who knows. Enjoy!

They have Oxford white Ecoboost non pp to drive. Don't miss the food trucks outside the main entrance. Ride and Drive almost open.

I did drive the Ecoboost. They want you to select another Ford to drive first. They want you to drive two cars. I chose a Tremor then I was able to drive the Mustang. The car is stunning although my wife was glad I didn't get it in white. She felt it needed a more imposing color. I've been looking at so many pictures on this forum that the car seemed oddly familiar. Nice proportions, it did not look bulky nicely sculptured. The inside was above expectations. I liked the Ceramic leather a lot. We were allowed to drive on the street around the convention center on a mapped out route. Too close to Disneyland traffic to try to have any fun with it. It was very stable and felt especially nimble. Funny thing that happened was I was at an intersection waiting for the light to change when another test driver pulled along side in a green Challenger. Before the light changed I spotted a parked police facing us on the opposite corner. When the light changed the Challenger laid down a trail of rubber while I was more worried about the cop. The cop blew us off. If I had only known..I would have laid into it...lol..The Ford rep asked me if there was anything about the car that didn't like. My response was the outside mirrors seemed small but I told him my current car has larger ones. Nothing bad about it, it'll just take getting used too. No worries though.

What was the wait time like to get a ride, and when do you think the best time to go to avoid lines ?

I was there when they first opened...I was about 10 minutes before I drove the first car, another 20 on the Mustang...they need another at least one more it was quite popular..Opening is best...most people are keyed in on just getting in to the exhibit halls. Go straight to the rear and get your hand stamped. Your going back outside. Veer to the left, you'll find the for display. The engine sound was quiet, not what I expected with the Fake sound argument going on. I look forward to my Ecoboost more than ever. What they have on display at the for exhibition is a black 5.0 GT with Recaro's entry level. Next to it is a 2014. Could have featured more Mustangs but a worthwhile show indeed. The
food trucks were really good.

Thanks pony up for the write-up! I'm really looking forward to the show now. I thought I was going to be disappointed like at Knott's. Look but can't sit in let alone drive.

I just left. Unfortunately I didn't get to drive the ecoboost. The black gt was nice but didn't blow me away. I want to see it in another color though. I did test drive the challenger scat pak and man that car is wicked awesome.

got home a little while ago, had to wait 2 hours to drive the ecoboost. Worth it for sure to finally get to sit in it. The drive way pretty fun, me and my buddy both went at the same time on the drive. He drove first then the ford rep had us switch in a little neighborhood near by. After getting in the drivers seat the rep had me go to a dead end and make a U turn so I kinda tapped the gas and it actually spun the tires a little :D got back onto katella and got to give it about 60-70% throttle a couple times. Overall I was pretty impressed with the ecoboost and the car as a whole.

I have pictures of the Ecoboost and the GT they had on display but I can't figure out how to get them posted.
