Trying to understand the logic here. It must be, "let's get cars on the lots that maybe someone will want to buy, versus taking good care of the customers we KNOW want to buy".2016 Mustangs are being scheduled, serialized, etc. for stock units. Ford doesn't start scheduling or serializing customer orders (retail orders) until the "okay to buy" by Ford. However, 2016 retail orders can still be submitted; they'll just sit in the queue for awhile.
Someone mentioned in another thread that the real customer of Ford is the dealer, not the end buyer so this begins to make sense, unfortunately.
