I've seen posts about the DRL's, discussion about what are the DRL's, how to turn on/off/change colors of the DRL's, etc... I'm new to my '15 Mustang GT and am just looking for verification.

In stock OEM form, what lights are supposed to light up during the day when the car is started. Is it just the 3 white slashes next to the headlights, or are the amber front turn signals supposed to be illuminated as well?

Welcome to the site and congrats on the new to you 2015 GT.

From what I recall with my prior 2016, the 3-white LED strips inside the headlight are the DRL's upon startup, at idle and when driving with the main headlight switch to off.

Thanks, wanted to be sure things were running correctly after replacing the amber constant-on bulbs that share the housing with the front turn signals. They seemed like they should be part of the DRL setup for some reason, don't know why I thought that.

For the 2015 , the 3 slash led are signature lights . If the day time function is enabled , the fog lights would light up at a reduced voltage .

That's the thing that got me. Where there's supposed to be the option to enable / disable daytime lights, the option doesn't exist. I've seen others state the same on their '15s as well.

Nope. In the dash options, I go to settings, vehicle, lighting... And daytime lights is not an option. Unless I'm looking in the wrong place.

Honestly I don't think you can turn off the DRL. Not even with FORScan.

Drl can be set to enable/disabled with IDS in programmable parameters. I don't know if it can be done with forescan .

Do you know where I can find a how-to for the DRL options in forscan? I don't necessarily want to turn off the 3 slanted bars, but add the amber fronts so they are on with the 3 slanted bars.

To me just the 3 slanted bars looks too plain and wanted to see how adding the amber lights looked.

If it's an option and I have to choose between front ambers or 3 bars, I'd like to try out the front ambers.

Got it figured out. My problem was trying to verify the lights were coming on... Can't do that in a manual car unless looking at front through a mirrored window. Pulling parking brake disengages DRLs. Had someone verify for me while I started the car.

Also figured out the forscan commands for enabling the "daytime lights" option in settings > vehicle > lighting. Option is now appearing.
