Engine oil temp can cause limp mode???The limit before the car goes into limp mode is 300 degrees Fahrenheit. If you track your car it's normal to see 250-260 degrees. As long as you do frequent oil changes when the oil gets that hot you're fine. I haven't tracked the 350 much but on my Boss 302 I changed it every 4 track days or about 6-8 hours of track time. I'll do the same thing on the GT350. In the Boss oil temps got upwards of 270 because the oil to water cooler that was no wear near as efficient as the cooler on the 350. My buddy with a Z06 sees 290 degrees every time he tracks the car with no issues. Just change your oil more frequently like I said and you're fine.
