Oil shelf life

Daft question, but can someone tell me if new engine oil has a shelf life?

I just bought 10 litres of Castro Magnatec before "the incident" to carry out an oil change, and was wondering if I should hold onto it or get rid and buy new when needed (2018 at this rate).
