I luckily work next to a Ford garage, it wasn't until I was driving home early February that I found out the Mustang was actually being sold in the EU

After 40 years at work I actually enjoy getting out of bed again and going to work, just so I can have another drive in the car from here to the office.
I also don't mind traffics jams now either as it gives me more seat time!

How tragic is that?
Do I need counselling or something?

Life sure has changed !

It might be life changing, or it might not.
I suppose I'll have to wait till Saturday to find out.

I thought about this thread when I was out and about yesterday.
I actually think that while my Mustang will pollute the atmosphere and potentially make everybody else in the world slightly less healthy, it makes my healthier!

No, bear with me here, I am being serious.

You may or may not know, I am a company director. I run an average size company (we employ 53 staff) with my two brothers. This has its perks but trust me, I suffer with stress! I never switch off. Even at weekends and I am at a Mustang meet, I will be getting texts and emails about where the engineers will be going on the Monday, or and engineer ringing and asking for a 'late' holiday, or ringing in sick.

But, the Mustang has changed all that, (the stress that is) moving has helped as well but its really the Mustang.

Take yesterday for example.

I had to journey to Southwark to talk to a client about disagreements over money then I had to go to a job in Brighton where we are a little behind and of the three engineers on the job, one was at a funeral and another has started paternity leave due to a premature birth!

I hate the journey into London. Its always slow and full of traffic.

So off I went in the Mustang. When I left the office I was feeling the pressure but by the time I got to the meeting, I was relaxed and feeling good. The traffic was awful but I didnt care. The Mustang going through the London streets with hig building on each side at the Roush axle backs, well, it sounded awesome.

I had a cyclist....a god damned cyclist! lean in my passenger window and tell my what an awesome car (no, he didnt take my wallet!

I had a kid just leaving his front door for school, call for his Dad to come and look at the car (stuck in traffic) outside......his Dad came out. nodded at me and inform his boy "Thats a Mustang"

I had a biker come along side me and blip his throttle.....I knock it down a couple of cogs and booted it (this want in traffic) and then let him catch up. He gave me the thumbs up and then was on his way.

So then I got to the first meeting and met with the guy I needed to talk money with but before that he, and several of his colleagues wanted to take pics of the car I turned up in. I am convinced the car turned around the whole atmosphere of the meeting. One that could have been uncomfortable for both sides was pleasant and friendly. And that because of the car!

Then I drove to Brighton. Great journey. Stuck in traffic for half of it and blasing down the M23/A23 for the rest.

Meeting there went well, I had some ole dear ask my if her life savings would buy my car from me, I said "If your life savings are around 45K I would consider it and we all laughed.....laughing is good for you, you know.

Then there was the drive along the A259 and a little detour along beachy head road, well, who needs the NC500!

So yeh, I got home last night and had chicken kievs, chips and salad out in the garden with a beer feeling relaxed and happy, thanks to my Stang.

Sir Stevec, that's the beginning of a fantastic English novel - with tens of thousands of pages (miles) to go!
I feel exactly the same way here, on the other side of the pond!

Loving the blog!

I love the fact the Mustang attracts such positive attention from all types of people young and old...

The look of, what is that to wow it's a Mustang!

Love from bikers has been surprising too...

Keep up the blogs - you have a talent there and we can all relate...

Even though a few are starting to get out on the roads here on Oz, the Mustang never fails to attract attention.

Last week I sold my Ford GT R-Spec, a factory supercharged 4-door family saloon. Had this 335kW missile since new 4 years ago. Very sad to see her go but can't afford to have 2 garage queens.

Took one look at the Mustang and I don't feel so sad.

Every time I drive somewhere and get out someone always says "Nice car, mate!"

Mustang just has that effect on people.

This is a great thread, I enjoy reading the posts.

I just bumped into a couple of people in town I know from the gym...speaking about holidays, obviously I mentioned the NC500 trip, as soon as I mentioned I had a Mustang, eyes instantly lit up! They asked to see a photo (of which I have several hundred thousand lol), and they were suitably impressed.

I am now taking the manager of the gym for a spin next time I am there :ford:

I have never enjoyed driving so much, I told my wife I felt like 17 again and popped out last night just to fill up ! She now thinks I`m obsessed and have been for the last 18 months.....
She doesn`t quite get it :)

In my 27 years of driving I have had some nice cars and some crap cars. My mustang is a complete contrast to others I have had, but now I'm married with kids. This is a toy and whilst it does get used it is not yet a daily driver. I am fortunate that my wife has a practical 4 door car and I have my fiesta zs to use.

But,

Every time I drive the car I can't stop grinning and it gets noticed by everyone, heck I have even had some of the teachers at my sons school ask if I was single as they liked the car so much !

Was even asked yesterday for a race !

Love the car and as much as it's brilliant I can't stop thnking about all the Mrs I want to do to it, just hoping I can pick up some stuff in the states next month.
