Hey so quick question. I just popped the hood for the first time cause I wanted to check out the engine bay while it is still clean and new. Well there appears to be a sort of oily substance on all of the plastic and some of the metal, now I have not heard of a dealer detailing an engine bay at purchase but I also have never asked or checked.

It appears to be near the coolant tank the most, pink fluid. I did just go on a drive with some side to side motions testing the mag ride suspension in different drive modes. When I took a paper towel to it, there is a slight brown tinge but mostly clear. I'm not certain if I'm being parinoid or not. Is this normal for a new car? Do I need to take her in to be checked for leaks? Any help is much appreciated.

In all reality it feels like that film when you have your interior detailed to make it shinny but I have never seen this on an engine before so that is why I am worried.

My original oil filter wasn't very tight from the factory on my GT. I had a slight oil leak that was very obvious coming from the filter and dripping down on the panel to get to the filter. Needless to say, I cleaned all of that off when I changed my oil and hand tightened my filter just right.

I've heard other stories of people saying the same thing with their filters not being on tight enough and seeping oil. Not sure if it's the same with the Ecoboosts.
