So I have an appointment with the dealership tomorrow to check out my car but wanted to get some insight here first if possible aswell. So recently anytime I accelerate I get a faint burning oil smell and sometimes a little white smoke that looks like it’s coming from under my car, when it’s parked I’ve looked under it and there’s definitely some fresh wet oil on the ground that looks like it’s coming right from where my oil filter sits, I did get a diy oil change a while back and can’t remember if we replaced the gasket on the filter (as stupid as that sounds) but here we are. No oil pressure light on, etc. any thoughts?

If the filter was tightened too tight, it may deform the seal slightly. I've never had to replace a gasket when replacing a filter. I've always used the one that came with the new filter. BTW...personally I like filters that have a flat surface (as some filter seals are rounded). They both may be just as good, but the wide flat seal surface ones seem to me less prone to undesirable deformation.

Of course check to see if you lost much oil. You don't want to be driving a lot with a low level, if per chance you've been slowly losing oil over an extended time before noticing the smell and smoke.

It is common for the oil pressure sensor above the filter to back out and leak as well. It looks like your oil filter is leaking because it runs down the filter. The oil can spray onto the exhaust.
