offset questions

I have a couple of questions about offsets.

1. If two wheels are the same width and same offset will they have the same fitment regardless of style and manufactuer?

2. Is anyone running 9.5 fronts with a 40 offset? Will it work without modification and without rubbing? Would probably go with a 255 wide tire.

3. Would a 9.5 with ET25 offset work in the back?

4. If a wheel has an offset of ET25 does it extend out more than an ET40?

They will both fit the same within the wheel wells, however they still need to clear the brakes and that is up to the design of the spokes as well as offset.

Let me have the opportunity to answer those questions for you.

1. If the offset and width is the same then the wheel does fit identical to each other, only time it makes a difference is in concave design and if the vehicle has a larger brake but thats a matter of X factor.

2. Fitment of a 9.5 ET 40 has been done on the S550 before and a 255 tire does to work, I did a members ride on GF06 wheels we actually made it flush with a ET 30 all around with his factory 255/40/19 Pirelli tires on it.

3. You could do it but it would be even more aggressive.

4. if the wheels are the same width and we compare offset then the wheel with the ET 25 will sit 15 mm further out towards the fender then the wheel with the ET 40

Here is a image of a members ride I did on 19x9.5 ET 30 GF06 wheels with his 255/40/19 factory tires, just so you get a reference of where it fits.
