Hey everyone,

I have a 2017 GT (non-PP) and I'm looking to get a set of the RTR Tech 7 in black. I would like to get 20x9.5 front and 20x10.5 rear, but different people have recommended different things and I'm not sure what to go with exactly. Also, I would like to lower it in the future (front maybe 1.1” and the rear about 0.8"), but I guess that's not a necessity.

I don't want to have any issues with rubbing or have deal with spacers, and I would prefer not to mess with the camber. I just want a good tire size that will look good and can allow for a small drop in ride height. I know it can vary, but I was hoping you guys could help me out.

Which size tires should I go with for these rims? And from there, would you recommend a particular tire that won't break the bank? This is my daily, so I need a tire that will last a while and rides nice.

Thanks, Matt

Hey Matt, I have the 19x9.5 & 19x10.5 of the tech7. I used the following two links to determine a tire size.

http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...2=35&wheel_size=19&wheel_width=9-5&offset2=33

http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...=35&wheel_size=19&wheel_width=10-5&offset2=45

I settled on 275/35/19 for the front and 305/35/19 for the rear. Money wise I would say NT555G2. I have this tire on my PP wheels and it has worn well for the price and performance. one of the few I know you can get up to 305 at an affordable price other than the Mickey Thompson which I heard are :/
If you are wanting to save some $ you may want to go square versus staggered.

I am going to go Michelin PSS on my wheels. Should have them bought and mounted in about a month.

As far as drop idk if there will be rub but I am lowered on bmr springs sp089/sp082 (3/4 inch drop in front and 1/2 inch drop in rear.)

Hope this helps

Solid information indeed. Thanks man.

I guess I can always figure out the drop after I get the set installed, that way I'll know more what I'm dealing with and how far I actually want to drop it.

So you're recommending I go 20x9.5 with 275/35/20 square? The Conti DW are pretty cheap right now, $530 for a whole set.

Order placed!

I decided to go with the set-up HrDrift did, except in black. 20x9.5 275/35/20 square.

Won't be able to put them on until there is no possibility of snow since I'm up in Michigan... But I'll upload some pics when I get them on. Then you guys can tell me which lowering springs to buy.

Is anyone aware of the load rating on these wheels?

Rear: 19x10.5 305/35/19 Nitto NT05
Springs are Eibach Pro-Kit
Hey is this setup still working well for you? I have the same 19" staggered setup. I'm about to get tires and was wondering if you have had any issues with rubbing?

Stock lugs and stock wheel locks fit. That's what I 've been using
