I believe that rumour as my sales guy haven't gotten build/chassis info on any convertibles (only fastbacks) and was told by Ford Europe that they didn't have homologation for seatbelts on the convertible yet in Europe...

Wish it wasn't so - but it seems it is :'(

In what way be ready by August 1? It's not that they have tons of work on these cars right, probably they will want to add the license plate holder with their company info and maybe a sticker... but even that's like 5 minutes of work.

I do hope they leave the blank license plate holders available though!
Ready to pickup from the dealership. I assume the EDD in COTUS is somehow correct as a date when a car is sent to Europe and then you need to count one or two weeks more for delivery and preps from a dealer.

Dunno how long it takes for boat to cross the ocean

If this is as such, COTUS EDD may be taken as accurate (although cautiously). EDD is 3 weeks since gate release at Flat Rock: this is consistent with 10 days or so over the Atlantic plus one week for traveling to the dealership. Add then four-five days, for taxes, registration and plate number. And the result matches the EDD.

insn't it??

Yeah, I guess so, but in the meantime the delivery date disappeared from COTUS

Delivery date disappears once the vehicle has been assembled, and returns back after completion of the "awaiting shipment" step, the soonest your car gets "in transit".

IMO COTUS dates are taken as "deliveries" for US market = when your car would be available at dealership if you order it in US. My EDD in COTUS is 17.7.2015 whilst my dealer told me the car will be available 1.8.2015.

Just checked COTUS again, my car is already finished (1.6.2015) and is now Awaiting shipment. EDD is still there. Yay!

my update:
EDD moved form 16/7 to 20/7.
Blend date still 4/6
My dealer mailed me today my car is assembled (according to VISTA) while according to COTUS it's plannend for Thursday?!!!
Dealer doesn't see delivery date yet in VISTA.

Figure out the logic...

Probably the date he sees in Vista is the build WEEK, instead now you see the build DAY.
