My dealer as still no Information’s about the status of my order. I ask every week about news but still nothing!
The only thing that I received is that the first build week was assigned on the 20th of April (as many of the cars) but without a VIN!
I’m going really crazy about all those things!
You all receive VINs and build dates with orders little weeks or days before me and sometimes after me…

Yup, the lack of informatio is so high in some countries.
At this point, all I'm thinking is if they deliver it mid winter, I hope they strap her with somr winter tires... They already f-ed my summer dreams up

Just have been at Munich airport to see all the cars. I'm very disappointed about arrogant, not supporting people from Ford (I have already ordered and got a VIN but they did not let me in a car!! - all cars for journalists only???) and about the low quality of the cars concerning alignment of body parts, doors, trunk, headlights and 3rd brake light. This is really strange and I'm wondering if there is / was any quality control. As they want to show these cars in Munich to the press, we can expect that our 'normal' cars will be even worse.
I also took a trip to Munich over the weekend and visited the MAC event. I have to say my experience was completely different. Maybe Ford had time to respond to complaints like yours and fixed things. I do not know. Here's what my experience was:

- All the "Ford people" we met were really friendly and willing to show the cars and discuss details. It was no problem to sit in the car once I asked for it for as long as we wanted.

- Please do not flame me for the this one. It's my opinion and my only and I hope it may be helpful.

I have noticed no alignment issues whatsoever. Maybe Ford also responded to this one and changed the cars. I do not know. I was looking for the misalignments and I noticed a millimiter here and there if I took a really, really close look. But I have to say it does not bother me at all. I would be completely happy to drive away from my dealers in a car like that.
I have checked the brake lights and again, those seemed quite fine to me. (Quite honestly the ones on the pictures here seem fine to me as well).
Also, Ford people explained the cars there were pre-production so they expect the final ones to be more fine tuned. Also that is why the cars are normally locked.

Anyway, I understand you guys are concerned but I think it will just be fine. At least it is to me. But again, that's just me and I understand why some people may be bothered by this.

I got the same response - sent an email through my dealer. From someone @ Ford;

Bear in mind, press units like the ones in Munich are typically very early production (what we internally refer to as “MP1”), which may result in a slightly different fit and finish compared to customer vehicles."
Reaching out for something but could it be the press models do not have LEDs to reduce the cost of production? If the cars are just for show and they will be dismembered or smth like that, why add LEDs to it.
Hoping, just hoping...

Edit: as I posted this I remembered some Ford rep quote from a diff thread saying the stripes are lighted by headlights.... Guess I hoped for nothing

Yep, and as I can see France is the worst !
Maybe here is another one in France that has the same issues than me ...
For sure we aren't in the best country for informations.
I'm still waiting for news about my order (since build week, one mail each week, no answers).

On French Ford website, still no brochure available, whereas other european countrys all have something...

no hope @Lsstefan, they confirmed the need to set tribar led off and DRL in the fog light to gain EU homologation.

My idea is that european car dealers are not used to this type of relationship with buyers.
Every car I bought was always like "ok, the contract is signed, I will call you when the car will be here" and nothing else until the car is ready.

In US there is a different way of doing these things: you have a plethora of information, you can know every production steps, where the goods are and when you will receive it.
A sistem like COTUS is untinkable for us at the moment. We have neither the technology and infrastructure, nor the mind to give the buyer all these details.
The majority of dealers/sellers have little or no interest in satisfying buyers' curiosity.
It's a pity, but this is why we are 20 years (speaking of Italy) later on USA.

Got a EURO 'chassis number' and by adding the magic '1FA6P8' to it to obtain 17 digits valid VIN number  I found my ingot premium pack Ecoboost on the FORD COTUS system using the 'anonymous' link posted by Papinist in an earlier thread!!
A new step closer to the car...:headbang:

No info here .. my dealer told me flat out that Ford NL doesn't give them anything until they are basically on the boat to Europe. .. I guess I won't be syncing COTUS then :(

That's really strange... I got the VIN and COTUS is showing the delivery date and everything. I do not know if it can be trusted though :)
