But for real, buying a $50k car and getting such messed up alignment is a shame for Ford.

Pre-production test fleet cars can't be used as an example of production vehicle quality. On the fuel system side of things, we don't even offer any warranty until the second phase samples. Even then, the product life guarantee is crap until production.

Well they've been putting the cars on the street since day of the 15s so I'm no surprised that they still can't get the hood to line up worth a damn on the 18.

Just joking, of course I wouldn't expect Audi quality at Ford. But at adjust your machines to bring on the windows and the hood aligned should not be some highend magic engineering stuff

No way. I have had a 98 cobra, 04 cobra, and 14 GT500. My 16 is leaps and bounds better than all of those.

I've owned two 1971 Mach 1's. An 86 GT. Two s197's ( GT & V6) The 2015 is just as good as any one of those cars. Is there issues. SURE. It's a mass produced car. But I've had better luck with all of my Mustangs. Then with the Chevy and Dodges I've owned in the past. It's strictly the luck of the draw. With most cars. The squickie wheel gets greased. But I'd bet the vast majority of buyers are extremely pleased with their cars.

Gt500 has a good motor with a blower and some bolt on parts but that gen is a turd in every way compared to the s550. Crappier interior. Crappier matierials. Crappier design and layout. Crappier seats. Crappier chassis. Crappier suspension. I could go on ..

Blame the worker. Do they engineer the car ? Design the panels, make the moulds , design/make the tools ? Some people are too stupid to see what's really happening and who to blame.

If you pay $50K it's a $50K car. You know, when I heard here about panel fit issues I didn't take people's word for it. I went down to a few large dealers and found about 25% of the cars on the lot had some body defect that would justify a run through a body shop, or a QC hold prior to leaving the factory. Most of the time it was the front fascia or rear bumper alignment, sometimes the hood. It boggles my mind that in 2017 all panels don't just fit, period. Go to a Toyota/Honda dealer. It doesn't matter if you are looking at an $18000 Corolla/Civic or a $50000 loaded Highlander/Pilot, the panels all just fit. I guess that's why so many Ford execs lost their bonus last year. Maybe this year will see improvement.
