Odds on getting a VIN tomorrow?

Man, I was really hoping for a VIN today :(

There's still a chance you can get a VIN throughout he day, it has happend before, although usually everyone does get them in a span of 10 minutes all at once.

GOT MY VIN!!!! Dealer called me right after I posted this and let me know build date is scheduled for 11/24.

Dude, Todd, bad news man. I just heard all orders that got a VIN today ending in 539 are being cancelled due to some algorithm in the system...no other word than that..

So are they just giving vin's to retail orders now or both?

From what I understand it is retail orders but if there is an open allocation a dealer stock might slip through with the right blend or configuration

Bah, since dealer didn't change my order EB to GT on time, the old EB got assigned last week and they had to make a new order last Friday. Guess what, GT didn't get a VIN (not a huge surprise). I don't mind being patient but it's always aggravating when some everything comes down to some employee who doesn't care. Unless you physically cannot change trim levels on an order before VIN assignment, I'm disappointed.

You actually want to change the order before you get a VIN, because once they give you a VIN they have "set aside" parts for your car.

Also from what I have seen is that alot of dealers have put out bulk orders on stock... most have a vin already but there's some that have not been built yet because of allocation... just what I have seen from my dealer abs several local

Sooooo... the order that I cancelled with my dealer last Friday (which I haven't been refunded for, and which is still showing up in COTUS, so I don't think it's actually "cancelled") still hasn't gotten a VIN. My second order I ordered last weekend still isn't showing up in COTUS at all.

The wait continues...

well after looking all day through 3PM CST I didn't get a vin. Just got home from the doctor and hit refresh since cutios was on the screen and I be dang there is a vin now.

so much for the small dealer not being treated the same as a big dealer. It's all about allocation.

Based on what we are seeing, if I had a May order and no VIN I would seriously consider starting over. These October guys are flying through.

Add me to the list of October orders. I placed an order yesterday, obviously no Vin# yet...but my order is showing up on Cotus. Manager says a good chance by Friday(tomorrow) I can get a vin...while I hope that happens, judging by how long some have been waiting for a #, I don't see it happening. I'll keep everyone posted as well as my fingers crossed!
