Odds on getting a VIN tomorrow?

I'm starting to think that priority means about nothing. My retail order had a priority of 02 and did not get pulled. I think it all comes down to allocation while order date and priority be damned.

I'm with you on that. No one, other than Ford schedulers, know how the "special" 01-09 priorities are handled. Is there an initial round with the specials scheduled first and if so is there a limited number of scheduling slots for them?

In your case, it looks like quite a few orders had regional managers reset priority to 01 this week. Perhaps it was just normal order management due to order age or a reaction to mitigate public relations problems from comments on forums and social media. There were more than likely enough 01 orders that your 02 was low on the list, but it's just speculation since NO ONE will confirm all the details about how scheduling works.

You get another shot next week and I hope you obtain a VIN then.

Man I really feel y'alls pain.... if it wasn't the priority 01 given, I would not have expected to see a vin today especially after I saw the constraints.... hoping my car gets delivered by dec 5.... would make the car just as special as it was the day my dad died.... ironically it was ordered on memorial weekend... I hope y'all get yours by next week... I had nothing to do with having the priority code change... I just didn't say anything or even ask my dealer at all

It's alway been. Allocation comes first, then priority. Order date means nothing at all exempt in the event of a tie.

1. COTUS, after you are In Production, not before.
2. So far, anything from a week to five months. Your mileage may vary.
3. "Should"? About a day. More likely? Three days or so.
