I know I'm on the path to a clutch replacement in general. I'm already hearing some noise from the throw-out bearing on cold start-ups although engagement seems to be ok. With 70k miles on the car this sounds a bit soon, but I am hard on it specifically first gear. I live in Seattle and there's some hills and stop/go traffic from time to time, so the clutch does get regular wear and tear. A new clutch will happen this summer. I just need to pick one.
Recently I started hearing some clutch pedal noise and a different feel to the petal. Pushing the pedal in, but specifically letting it out - it sounds like I'm driving an old beat-up toyota pickup with bad springs. LOUD squeaking as the petal comes out. Yikes!
Then recently it feels like the clutch suddenly is engaging about half way down when pushing the pedal in whereas it's always felt consistent. That started last week.
So I have to get under there and figure out what's going on. I've never had to adjust this clutch at all. Has anyone else experienced these types of things with their clutch pedal?
