I’m hoping that this thread finds you and yours safe and healthy; my question is about octane availability from our pumps in CDA Idaho ( north Idaho) best we have is non ethanol 91 octane; what octane booster do you any of you with experience use to bring it up to the needed 93? Thanks

North ID is fairly high altitude correct? 91 octane in North ID may have the same affects as 93 octane at sea level. Sorry, I don't know the science/physics though.

91 is fine, your car will never know the difference and if where you are at a relative high altitude 91 is all it needs.

We are at 2200 ft elevation, did I read 93 octane in the Shelby Suppliment? So I’m kinda ok??

I've never heard of the car needing 93, where I'm at, we ONLY have 91 and the car has been fine (and I'm at sea level)

From 2019-Ford-Mustang-Shelby-GT350-Supplement. Fuel and Refueling, page 14.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Use only premium unleaded gasoline with a minimum pump (R+M)/2 octane rating of 91. For optimal performance, use premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 93 or higher. The use of the correct fuel is an important part of the proper maintenance of your vehicle, and a condition of the vehicle Warranty. For this vehicle, the use of gasoline with an octane level of 91 or higher is required. The use of gasoline with an octane rating lower than 91 will invalidate the vehicle Warranty. It can degrade vehicle performance and lead to severe mechanical damage.

Good info.

You should consider adding the source to the post including page number. Yeah it’s not a peer reviewed research paper but it adds legitimacy and others can look it up for themselves, if they want.

Sure. I updated my post. For me it's an obvious to look at a basic and necessary info regarding new car. But, I guess we all different.

I’ve got a good friend in Hayden. Probably going to visit them this or next summer.
You want me to have him go check on your car? ;-)

Thanks 460 the R should be making it’s debut around town by then and hopefully an Autocross trophy or two . Say where do I put my key in the ignition switch? Is it going to be faster than my 66 GT350H? Things to ponder !
