I installed my headers this weekend and the extension pipes after the resonators are about 3 inches too short. I need to add 3-3.5 inches to get the exhaust to hook up.

Hmm interesting mine were about 3" too long but my exhaust is custom so mids had to be cut down and welded to my X pipe.

I have installed a few of them, they are 2.5. The factory connect part is 2.25.

I got mine yesterday and measured it, sure enough you are correct, kinda pisses me off, I spent more $$ for the FRPP one since I read it was 2.75" in place of 2.5" for SR performance. I wouldn't consider the $300+ for the 3" systems.

What kind of cat back do you have?

Corsa Sport.

I do give the actual fitment of the headers an A+. If I was going to install it again. I'd go with the ARP bolt kit. Easier to get smaller wrenches, sockets in the area. I used a combination of studs and bolts.

Not sure the part number, as ARP will have a few bolt options. I didn't use a kit, but wish I would have.

Once the factory exhaust is removed, motor mounts, and starter. The factory manifolds pretty much fall right out. I had 6 of the drivers and 4 of the passengers nuts removed, before my pole jack arrived to support the engine for motor mount removal. Honestly wait until you remove the motor mounts before starting the manifold nuts. All the nuts are easy to get to, besides the front one on the passenger side (I removed and installed it from the top) Being creative with swivels, extension lengths and angles will aide in getting the nuts off/on

For the passenger side, remove the battery and the black inner shield. That will help with a few of the top nuts. Also, once the manifolds are removed remove all the studs. I recommend getting an inverted torx set for stud removal. The splines bend easy when using a 1/4 inch socket and the studs are in there pretty good. I left each front stud in to help hang the header since I was by myself. I also relocated my A/C bracket up on rail and an inch forward of its original location. Expect 6-8 hours.

My car is an auto, when it came to o2 sensor extensions. I only needed a 6 inch extension for the driver side(bought a 24"). The rest had enough length to fit.

Watch the You tube videos to get familiar with what you are doing and use lots of anti-seize.

4 lap style exhaust clamps 52.00
20.00 welding fee.
misc bolts 10.00
Used factory echaust gaskets, kit came with a nice set of graphite gaskets, but I chose not to use them.
total of $602.00 when installed at home.

As stated above, the clamps are crap (I'd recommend replacements) and the mid pipes were 3.5 inches short to connect and it was advertised as performance connect. Other than that, the welding quality was great on the headers. The mid pipes must have been built somewhere else......

I'll probably add another $5.00 in hardware to eliminate the long exhaust clamp bolts from the Walker clamp kit.

My mids welds were fine those were probably the work of a new welder. I didn't have any issues with the supplied clamps apart from them being a tad small I had to open them all the way to get them over the pipes.,

Can these be purchased anywhere other than on ebay? Where is the best price anyone has seen for the non polished version?

I got mine on eBay "maximizer" sand blasted finish $408 shipped, now they appear to be a bit more.

As a Stainless Works headers owner, I'm impressed with these pictures and the apparent quality of eBay brand headers.

I'm interested to see how they're holding up. One of the downsides to purchasing eBay headers is that you need to source the hardware, clamps, etc. on your own, and do custom work.
