Can the MX / Forscan be used to change the software diff ratio value ?

i think so, but haven’t done that personally. There’s a different thread for that.

All I know is that a bunch of six figure marketing folks sat around a big table and freaking decided that FORSCAN was a great name...

Its not the kind of app that has a marketing dept. or a UI dept, and the website is partying like its 1999, but it hacks just fine.

Thanks for the suggestion. Really giving thoughts if i should go with the one that has the display or not. I think it should be more handy at the moment but don't want to sacrifice quality neither.

Any thoughts?

i use it with my cell phone... i just carry the adapter in my backpack that i carry with me every day... so if i need to check a car at work or anywhere, i have it with me

I have an Innova for when I travel, which also covers ABS + airbag codes, but it only reads 'universal' codes, meaning emissions related codes. Those units don't read any of the myriad modules present in most cars. FORScan is the only free program to basically access anything you want (with few exceptions); you just need to buy a cheap cable. And OP can use it on 2 of his 3 cars, so that's what I'd do. I had to pay for cables for the Porsche, Audi, etc., and don't think they were nearly as comprehensive as FORScan.
