Michelin Pilot sport 4s is one of the best tires available for both dry and wet weather. Have had them on my Audi since they were released and I will put them on my pp wheels for wet weather for sure. 30k mile manufacturer wear warranty too, doesn’t cover burnouts tho lol.

For the money continental extreme contacts are hard to beat. I think the Nitto 555s suck. If going with Nitto I'd get the 05s (non R). I keep going back to the Conti.

Does anyone run Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires? Just came across them and they seem good from reviews.

Apparently everyone suggesting max performance summer tires didn't read your question, at all. Why someone would suggest Michelin MPSS/MPS4 for a winter climate is baffling. That is a SUMMER only tire. DO NOT run a summer only tire in the winter months, that includes the stock P-Zeros. You will get stuck, or worse, wreck your car and hurt yourself or someone else. At the very least, you need an all season tire if you plan to drive this car in the winter. End of discussion.

I'm sure the Michelin A/S 3's are good. These are supposedly very good as well. But I have no personal experience with them.

If I were you, I'd find a cheap set of wheels for winter use and get dedicated snow tires. All seasons are too much of a compromise. They don't do anything particularly well. A dedicated snow tire is going to blow away an all season, and vise versa in the summer months with a max performance summer tire.

Thanks. I won't be driving in snow, just rain and cold. I'd like to go with an A/S tire to run this winter, and ideally get some nice summer ones put on in the spring. I mainly want A/S tires vs. snow tires just in case I don't have the extra money to replace them in the summer, this way I can still run the A/S through the spring and summer, unlike a dedicated winter tire.
