Hi Guys,

Sorry for taking a couple of days to get these photos up, I'm suffering from the flu!

Anyway, I had the Ceramic Pro treatment done on the Mustang over the weekend. This involved outside, wheels, glass and inside the car.

The first 3 photos are from when the Dealer first started to prep the car for delivery. The scuff marks on the boot were actually under the plastic and Sinclair Ford has had a few cars turn up with this.

This photo shows etching marks on the roof near the driver's window.

This photo shows the 2 streaks on the bonnet - this turned out to be adhesive from the plastic wrap and was quite stubborn to remove.

The dealer did a great job of rectifying about 90% of the defects. They also offered to pay for any further correction.

Thanks Bob,

A couple of positives are that the paint is actually quite uniform with good coverage and not as soft as previous Mustangs.

One more positive is that there is real gloss in the colour under all the surface imperfections.

Finally, seems we're spoilt for choice with some excellent products and exceptional detailers.

Followed a nice RR GT through Cattai this morning. Great road to drive. Wishing I had mine here already!

Just had an interesting afternoon.

Took my car out of the garage for the first time in nearly a week as I've been working long hours. Managed to navigate up the two steep driveways of my complex without any scraping whatsoever - so it's now confirmed that I can get to and from my garage without bottoming out. Big thumbs up as this was a major concern of mine pre-delivery.

Drove down to Cronulla to see a mate and as I was coming home the Shire suffered an extensive power blackout in peak hour. Had to negotiate my way home with no traffic or street lights - it reminded me of rush hour in Bangkok - an hour after getting home I am still having heart palpitations.

Anyways, once I got to my complex I couldn't get in to the garage area due to the power outage meaning that the electric door wasn't functioning. No biggie, I just went down the road and parked in an open area to sit it out. A few minutes later I was talking to a mate on the phone when I noticed this middle aged woman, also on the phone, running towards my car waving at me. She was carrying a bunch of flowers in one hand and a monstrous handbag with the greatest array of metal trinkets hanging from it that you could imagine in the other. It was like Gucci on steroids.

I suddenly realised that she thought I was her lift and was going to try and open my passenger door! Those metal trinkets were swinging like nothing else as she rapidly closed in on my car like a woman possessed. I was convinced that my good fortune was about to end and, in a sheer moment of panic, I yelled NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO and leant on the horn.

The poor woman must have jumped ten foot backwards into the air, but that last minute effort prevented my paintwork from suffering an horrendous fate. Realising her error, she then skulked across to the other side of the road where her real lift was waiting.

Just at that moment, like an awakening, the street lights came back on as power was restored and I was able to safely garage the Stang without any further incident.

I'm not sure that I'll ever take it out again.

My wife actually did that to someone.

I was picking her up from the city, and it was raining heavily. She saw a car that she thought was me, quickly opened the passenger door and started shoving all the guy's paperwork from the passenger seat onto the floor of the car. The guy said 'hey', she looked up and when she realised it wasn't me. I was 2 cars back, and saw the whole thing

Hi Guys
I am looking for photos from members in Sydney with Slim Line plates and what Plate holder brand options you have chosen. My car arrived in 8ish weeks time and want to be organised and am unsure of what is best.
My next duty will exhaust and would love to be able to hear what different exhausts sound like and brand etc

In post 556 you can see I have slimline plates wit the Lakin brackets and Kingpin covers. They're pricey but they're very well made and a top quality product.

Hi RSPEC

from what i understand from the Larkin web site you mount the base plate to the bumper using the screws they supplied. Is this correct and do the Mustang have metal screw threads in the bumper already?
