"Normal" oil usage

Track weekend. full of oil at start and full at the end : )

Thats very normal. Everything is designed for CHTs much higher than what you get when daily driving. Once the car's CHT goes up, the tolerances between the piston and everything else is much less. Metal expands.

On the other hand if you redline the car while CHT is 200F, your tolerances are far greater.

It's twice that under certain conditions....

According to the March 2017 Shelby Supplement pg. 48, oil consumption of "approximately 1 quart per 500 miles" while "driving high performance vehicles in such a way that might lead to higher oil consumption (this includes extended time at high engine speeds, high loads, engine braking, hard cornering maneuvers and track use."
This would not be an acceptable car for you.

During track use I would expect it to go up. It's the usage during daily driving that concerns me.

1 quart per 7,500 miles unacceptable. Don't judge my car then. Mine is at the bottom hash marks about every 750 miles. I am not great at math but 1 quart every 750 miles is what I come up with doing that math. 1 quart puts it dead even with the top hash marks.

I had a 16 gt350/track pack. I drove it about 7k miles in about 4 months before I sold it and never had an issue with oil. Fast forward, I now have a 17 gt350r. I’ve put about 11k miles on it and I have to top off roughly 1qt per 1k miles. I don’t drive “too” hard. Honestly, I don’t want to sound like an asshole to the OP but if you’re this worried, don’t buy it. It’d be different if you came on here trying to see if it were normal or if it was an issue, but it almost seems like you’re on a mission to convince us all we made a mistake and should be rioting at Ford mo co to fix a non issue.
