This might be extremely nooby, but I did a 5th gear dyno pull ended up with 670 whp.

Do the HP numbers differ from gear to gear? I know 5th is 1:1, but how much of a difference is it? i.e the guy did a 4th gear pull and it said 470 whp.. What gives

Only did one 4th gear pull so not sure if it was accurate or not

Did two 5th gears, 645 whp and 670 whp after a cooldown.

Someone will correct me I'm sure but I believe the lower you are from 1:1, the lower HP you will see. Not sure about torque but would think it's the same. The different is minimal for the auto. Maybe 1-2 %. I have to dyno mine in 4th which isn't 1:1 because 5th gear hits the speed limiter at 190ish.

When he did the 4th gear pull did he go all the way to max RPM? definitely isn't going to produce that much of a difference unless he did something squirrley.

I have no clue if he did
The dyno graph I got only had the two 5th gear runs and not the 4th on it.. I was so excited about the 670hp it was only till after my friend asked me why it was so low in 4th lol

I make 750whp in 4th gear so it's pretty darn close. I wouldn't worry about that 4th gear pull. Sounds like it wasn't a full pull.

Whipple Stage 2, 3.75 pulley, 93 octane, stock whipple tune, and magnaflow comp catback....made 723rwhp and 560 ft lbs in 4th gear on dynapacks......we then swapped in a DSS carbon fiber ds as the only additional mod that could potentially affect hp readings and ran it on a mobile dynojet in 5th gear. Torque was virtually the same at 558 ft lbs. My clutch/pressure plate started failing after 6,500 rpm and we made 673 rwhp.

I posted the dyno runs, along with what 25% reduction with flight control looks like the other day.....thread is under "Whipple 25% flight control dyno" if you want to see how it compares

Maybe he didn't do a full run i guess, let me see if i can get the graph from him. I got 670whp in 5th makes no sense to get 470 in 4th
