I might be reposting a question concerning non-ethanol fuel, but here it goes! I would like to know if using non-ethanol gas on my 2018 eco-boost, might cause adverse effects with the 93 Tune by Steeda. Will I need to get an updated tune? Will I get pinging? Thanks in advance.

No...if you can get non-ethanol 93 then go for it. Ethanol is sometimes used to raise the octane rating or just as (IMHO) filler to use less actual petroleum (in theory). If you are in the LEAST bit worried - call/email Steeda if they will not give you a straight answer I would be hesitant to use their tune.

Any benefit on using ethanol free in a modern car?

I use it in my '75 Vette can only find 90-ish octane around me.

Slightly better fuel economy is the benefit. Around here, it's only Shell 91 that's ethanol-free.

Your tuner would be the best person to ask. Note however that your mustang is designed to use the 10-15% ethanol fuel formulations available today.

Thanks for all the great comments.:captain: I have contacted Steeda (MATT) and I think I'll be sticking to 93 Ethanol and may do a little E85 in the future.:like:
