Anybody had problems installing the no tune roush intake on 2018+ GT and getting wrench light? I tried cleaning the filter, cleaning the MAF and still comes on. It's not on limp mode, just the light is on.
Thanks in advance

I don't have the Roush, I have the injen... but in my research I think remember hearing that the Roush comes with an insert that you're supposed to use if you're not running a tune... If you go ahead and get the tune, then you can remove the insert and increase the airflow... but if you don't use the insert and don't have the tune and don't use the insert, you'll get an alert...

I definitely could be wrong

Apologize if you're doing this right, but sometimes it's the simple things that getnoverlooked

Yes, I kept the insert so It should be good. I'm pretty sure it should be a detail like that but I dont know exactly what it could be. Also my inlet temperature is always above 95°, usually 98°, is that normal?

Have you tried disconnecting the battery, reboot the engine management ? I think I remember the battery was to be disconnected, as part of the install.

MAF is just a sensor and they can go bad, and will flash the check engine.

They are also delicate, not handled correctly be hurt (cleaning).

good luck my $$$ is on the MAF failed failing

And I watched an install video on this cuz I was curious, and it looks like you have to unclip the MAF to give it some more length... maybe it got messed up there??

An air inlet temp in the 90s doesn't raise a red flag for me in the dead of August... I feel like mine is always in the 90s when I'm stopped at a light in the summertime.

Unclip the MAF in what way? Ive watched the install several times since this problem came up but never seen what you're talking about.

Around 4:24

That harness that clips into your MAF... I was just thinking maybe it got bent awkwardly or something... just throwing things at the wall here to see what sticks.... maybe you did it just fine

Oh I see. The MAF does fit fine though. It even has some play. It's weird cause I washed the filter the other day and there was no light all of a sudden when I started the car. Mid trip the light lit back up. By that I think we can discard any problem with the MAF, prob it's dirty but definetly functioning fine

If you think the MAF sensor could be dirty, clean it with a few sprays of maf sensor cleaner. I had a CEL on my daily a few weeks back, cleaned the sensor and all good since.

Also, we're all just guessing but you should pull the code to know exactly what the CEL is for, otherwise, it's all guesswork.

How tight are the wires of the plug when connect to the MAF ? Need to have have a min of an 1.0 & personally for that would want it to be 2.0, at least . Of free play up & down, to tight wires could pull on the connector. Making for a poor connection, intermittent operation.

Reading the last post is sounds like you're saying . Started the car all was well drove it error flashes ............. we call that intermittent operation. Could be wireing not having enough play or a failing MAF

It is not a dirty filter, and as a side note you cannot discard the MAP as the bad actor, cause to cheap to buy it. You have zero way to test it and this was not a problem before the install was done ...

Goos luck

I got 3 codes. P0113 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 High Input. P0103 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit high input. P0073 Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit high input. I dont think the last one has anything to do with the wrench light since it's just pointing out the ambient temp sensor, nothing related to the intake.
I tried cleaning the MAF and still got the code. Prob I didn't spray it where I had to but I did sprayed it all around and the wrench light still came up
